The price of admission for the World Poker Tour Championship is $25,000 with a $500 entry fee, making it one of the most expensive tickets of the year on the tournament trail. Bellagio’s poker room will be running a half-dozen super-satellite events this week to allow players to win their way into the tournament for as little as $1,590. Each super-satellite event will award as many $25,500 entries into the WPT Championship event as possible, based on the number of players who buy into each satellite. Here is a look at the schedule for super-satellite events that will be offered before the WPT event in the Fontana Bar at Bellagio:

Another way for players to win their seat in the WPT Championship at Bellagio is to win one of the remaining preliminary events on the Five-Star World Poker Classic schedule. Each event that has a prize pool of at least $300,000 will award the champion with a $25,500 buy-in to the 2009 WPT Championship. Here are the remaining preliminary events on the schedule:
Tuesday, Apr. 14, 1 p.m.: $5,000 no-limit hold’em
Wednesday, Apr. 15, noon: $5,000 no-limit hold’em
